Principles of Journalistic language

Principles of Journalistic language: We will discuss the principle of Journalistic language and the most important principle in journalistic language is known as "Principle of K.I.S.S". Principle of K.I.S.S: A slogen used sometimes in the training of Journalists, meaning both "keep it short, simple" and "keep it short, stupid". The point is to emphasize trainee journalists to the primacy of clear and uncluttered communication. In other words it is known as "comprehension" meaning; to make it understandable. There are three levels of audience in Journalism which are explained below. Levels of Audience: 1- Highly educated people/elite class 2- Educated or less educated 3- Illiterate/uneducated So, as a journalist it is your duty, responsibility and quality to use journalistic language to make understand the audience of third level, that is illiterate or uneducated. - Always try to use brief/precise language - Don't use ambiguous words - Don

ARTICLE: CENTRALITY OF COMMUNICATION || AZAM SHAH

Centrality of Communication: First of all I would like to explain what is the meaning of "centrality". So, in the term of communication the word "centrality" means; main point, focal point, or central point. Now the simple question may arrive in your mind that who is actually the central point of communication, either the audience or a speaker? So, obviously the one who is speaking to the audience is central point of communication. Like, if I am doing class presentation so all my classmates will be considered as audience while the presenter will be known as central point of communication. Similarly if someone is delivering a public speech so S/He is the central point of communication. So, a communicator should know the formula of 5w's and 1H. S/He should know "When to talk What, Where to talk, Why is S/He talking, to Whom S/he is talking, and How to talk. Because a communicator is central point of communication and as I told you initially that it's a r

AN ARTICLE ON CONCEPT OF GOD IN ISLAM BY SYED AZAM ALI SHAH

Concept of God in Islam: Lets discuss the concept of God in Islam and the best reply that any Muslim can give you regarding the concept of God in Islam is quote to you "Surah-Al-Akhlas" chp: 112 v: 1 - 4 says that; Translation: Say, He is Allah one and only. Allah the absolute and eternal. He begets not nor is He begotten. There is nothing like Him. So, this is the four line definition of Allah Almighty given in the glorious Quran. If any person says that so and so entity is God, if that entity fits in this four line definition of Almighty Allah so we Muslims have got no objections to accept that person as God.  This Surah-al-Akhlas is the "Touchstone of theology". This word "theology" actually comes from Greek word "Theo" which means God, so theology means; study of God. On the other hand the word "Touchstone" is a tool used by a goldsmith. Like, if you want to buy a gold or you want to sell the gold so you go to the goldsmith and you

What is GOOD & BAD? A sixteen years old cousin of mine asked me a question that tell me "What is Good and Bad"?...........as it was a difficult question for me to answer and for a moment I was just like blank brain, but than I found the answer to the question. I replied her that "Anything which brings us closer to the ultimate purpose of life is Good and anything that takes us away from the ultimate purpose of life is Bad". Although I was thinking that I've answered her briefly and she must have got the answer..... But it was not like this as suddenly she asked me another question. She asked me that "What is our ultimate purpose of life"?...... again after hearing her question I was blank brain for a minute but than I replied her briefly. I answered her that "In a relative sense, for those whose goal is this material world, worldly things like gaining wealth, status, fame or property is necessarily "bad" because it takes us away fro
