Do Not Trust Historians Blindly

Historical events can be understood differently depending on the context in which they are studied. As time passes and societal norms and values change, historians may reinterpret events in a way that differs from previous interpretations. The same goes for politics too, that's why we see a variety of history books written from different aspects let's suppose on "History Of Pakistan" based on incomplete information. Historians may not have access to all the information necessary to reconstruct an accurate narrative. Humanly it is not possible to have access to all the information at a time.

Secondly, they interpret sources to make sense of the events they describe. However, this interpretation is subjective and can be influenced by historians'biases, assumptions, and theoretical frameworks. This can lead to different historians arriving at different conclusions. Historians often disagree with one another over the interpretation of historical events. These disagreements can lead to debates and controversies within the field, and can make it difficult for readers to know which interpretation to accept as the "truth." Apart from all this, I would definitely say that historians are simple human beings and can make errors. They may misread sources, overlook important details, or make errors in their interpretation of events. Additionally, the process of translating historical documents from one language to another can introduce errors and inconsistencies.

It is important to note that these criticisms can be applied to some history books especially written on politics or politicians. It is important to read political history related books critically and examine the author's perspective, bias, and expertise before accepting their version of events blindly. There are many exceptional works of literature that do not suffer from any of these shortcomings. The literary world is diverse, and it's always possible to find books that are well-written, original, thought-provoking and accurate.
