Brief Definition of News Ticker

 Ticker:

It is a one line statement that hardly contains ten to twelve words which can be seen in the lower third of a TV screen especially during news.

- As a needle of wall clock moves in a round shape and makes a sound of "tick" same the ticker changes frequently with time. It is also called (slide, zipper and crawler).

- It is called "zipper" because it moves from left to right.
